- The title "Leader of vocation" is a great distinction and commitment for me. This distinction belongs to the whole community of the Silesian University of Technology, because in an increasingly visible way, we all become creators of technological and scientific progress. Having the privilege of running the university today, I am also aware that the potential that allows us to obtain such a position has been built for years. With all my heart, I would like to thank the employees and students of the Silesian University of Technology for this - emphasizes the rector of the Silesian University of Technology.
These distinctions are aimed at identifying committed and charismatic managers - leaders in various fields: culture and art, sport, economy and social field, in order to promote positive attitudes and develop synergies of represented environments.
- For many years, I have been carrying out interviews with city mayors, presidents, founders of charity organizations and enterprises, sports coaches, directors of scientific or cultural centers, as well as university rectors. I noticed, that some of them have extraordinary attributes of leaders with real vocation: positive energy, knowledge, which they want and can share with their colleagues, exceptional management skills with great passion and significant commitment - emphasizes Beata Sekuła, editor-in-chief of "WHY Story" magazine.
