After the meeting of Rectors of Polish Technical Universities

During the meeting of Rectors of Polish Technical Universities, which took place in Gliwice on March 4th, the participants discussed the upcoming changes related to the introduction of a new draft law on higher education and science, including the new fields of study and research, as well as the implementation of the “Act 2.0”. Another important topic was the innovativeness of universities in the context of the number of patents and other exclusive rights obtained by higher education institutions, as well as changes following the RODO, which is a new EU regulation on the protection of personal data. Therefore, Rectors talked about the security of information, which is the basis of business processes in technical universities, as well as about the change in the approach towards the protection of personal data following the introduction of RODO.

Participants also took part in the EDUAL conference, “Dual studies in response to the needs of Industry 4.0”, organized last Monday at the Silesian University of Technology, and met with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Science and Higher Education, Jarosław Gowin.
