Szkoły Letnie (Summer Schools) to projekty skierowane do studentów z całego świata. Studenci mają możliwość spędzenia wakacji na uczelni zagranicznej, w której organizowane są zajęcia akademickie, wycieczki mające na celu zwiedzanie miasta oraz zgłębianie miejscowej kultury i obyczajów. Dzięki temu programowi polska młodzież ma możliwość poznania standardów nauczania na szczeblu międzynarodowym przy jednoczesnym poszerzaniu swoich życiowych doświadczeń oraz znajomości języków obcych. Jest to świetny sposób na zdobycie międzynarodowych doświadczeń przez młodych, zwłaszcza (lecz nie tylko) osób, które nie mogą z różnych przyczyn realizować dłuższych pobytów stypendialnych za granicą. |
Zdobyte na kursach punkty ECTS, za zgodą wydziału macierzystego, mogą zostać zaliczone w tok studiów studenta (ewentualne przypadki zawsze rozpatrywane są indywidualnie na wniosek osoby zainteresowanej).
WAŻNE:
Zgłoszenia oraz aplikacje w ramach "Summer Schools" studenci wysyłają indywidualnie.

Summer Schools 2012 at the VIA University College (Horsens Campus, Dania)
Program dostępny w 3 różnych terminach, program każdej edycji Szkoły Letniej obejmuje zajęcia tematyczne warte 5 ECTS. Kursy w większości dopasowane do studentów studiów inżynierskich, częściowo dostępne również dla poziomu magisterskiego. Uczestnictwo w kursach jest bezpłatne.

VIA Summer School Presentation for International Use
Summer School 2012 at the Hanyang University (Seoul, Korea)
The Hanyang International Summer School (HISS) program for exchange students. HISS operates in July for four weeks, and offers more than 40 courses in diverse areas, all taught in English. The total number of participants in 2011 was 611 and ~800 participants are expected in 2012. For students from partner universities (including the Silesian University of Technology), following scholarships are offered:
Partner Scholarship:
Scholarship program for partner universities, which makes the total fees including tuition and dormitory, less than half price, 1,500,000 KRW (approximately US$1,300). Partner universities students who do not join the program as exchange students can benefit from this scholarship.
Faculty-led Program (more information given in the leaflet)
Invitation for instructors from partner universities. Faculty members who join the program with +5 students can deliver a course(s) of their interest to both their home university students and other international students participating in HISS. The benefits for faculty members are remuneration, airfare, accommodations, and student mentoring incentives. The 50% full tuition reduction with free housing for students accompanied by faculty members is offered.

Summer Schools 2012 at the Univeristy of Porto
University of Porto has offered several summer courses within the project “Summer School at the U.Porto”. In 2012, in June, July, August and September, a vast number of diverse courses will once again be available at the various faculties, covering a wide range of themes, and of different duration, covering multiple areas of knowledge and intended for different audiences, age groups and professional categories, national and international.
These training events, in Portuguese, English and Spanish, benefit from the research environment of the U.Porto, the pedagogical quality of its teachers and researchers, the structures and learning conditions in which we have invested, which together provide a highly stimulating and enriching experience. The offer of summer courses for 2012 at the U.Porto is of great use for all those who seek to be continuously updated and prepared to meet the ongoing challenges of our society.
