Polish language course
Erasmus+ students are welcomed to attend the Polish language course (beginner level) during the semester. For Erasmus+ students it's free of charge, with the exception of books/ study materials. During Orientation Days - info session with International Mobility Office students have a possibility to enroll.
The Polish language course is provided by very experienced School of Polish Language and Culture, a unit of the University of Silesia (Katowice), web link: http://sjikp.us.edu.pl/
Classes take place in Gliwice university campus, usually in the Faculty of Civil Eng., for students of the Faculty of Materials Science and Metallurgy as well ad Faculty of Transport classes take place in Katowice campus, always in late afternoon to avoid timetable conflict with faculty classes.
As the Polish language course is not offered by any faculty (the International Mobility Office organizes the course) it cannot be included in the Learning Agreement or Results of Study Abroad (also called Learning Agreement after the mobility). As result you will not find the course in the on-line plaftform.
The School of Polish Language and Culture gives 6ECTS points for the course.
The Polish language course is not obligatory but helps a lot foreign students in adaptation process, especially with the local environment.
